Pinewood Studios has launched the Pinewood Community Fund, designed to support a wide range of local projects that make a meaningful difference in the community, with a particular focus on Iver and Fulmer in Buckinghamshire. Working with the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation, the fund will provide £250,000 over the next five years. Priorities for the fund include youth development, community initiatives, education, culture, environmental projects, wellbeing, and support for disadvantaged or underrepresented groups.

As Pinewood Studios celebrates its 90th anniversary, the Fund also reflects the Studios’ long-standing role in serving and supporting the local community over the past nine decades.

The Countess Howe, DStJ, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire and President of Heart of Bucks Community Foundation:

“The launch of the Pinewood Community Fund is a significant and valued commitment to the communities of Buckinghamshire. I am especially pleased to see Pinewood Studios and Heart of Bucks Community Foundation partnering together, united by a shared commitment to strengthening community life. By ensuring that funding is directed where it can have the greatest impact, this initiative will provide much needed support to local grassroots charities, community groups and young people. Pinewood’s commitment is a wonderful example of a business giving back to its local community in a thoughtful and lasting way.”

The fund has been established to create a positive and lasting local impact, supporting organisations and projects that strengthen communities, open up opportunities for young people, and help address local need. It forms part of Pinewood Group’s Set For More programme, a long-term commitment to working in partnership with local communities, creating opportunities for young people and investing in projects that can deliver long-term social value.

David Conway, Chief Executive Officer, Pinewood Group:

“Pinewood has been part of the local community for nine decades, and we are incredibly grateful for the support and relationships that have helped shape our success. The launch of the Pinewood Community Fund is an opportunity to give back and support the charities, community groups and volunteers who work every day to improve lives across our neighbouring communities.”

Applications will open twice a year to eligible non-profit organisations, community groups and charities whose work benefits Buckinghamshire residents, particularly in the local parishes of Iver and Fulmer.

Heart of Bucks will manage the fund, oversee the application process and help ensure grants are awarded to projects that meet the fund’s aims and deliver real benefit in the local area. Applications open today, Wednesday 30 September, and close at midday on Monday 23 November.
