Trustee Board Member
In broad terms the duties of our Trustees are; leadership, governance, knowledge, understanding and promotion. You should be a person of integrity with a willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to trustee duties, strategic vision, creative thinking and understanding and acceptance of the legal responsibilities of the role.
Independent Grants Panel Member
This role will act collectively with the Chair of the Grants Committee and other Panel Members, to ensure funding applications are scrutinised and decisions made fairly, ensuring all awards have the potential to achieve the aims and objectives of the relevant fund.

Community Foundations like Heart of Bucks focus on supporting grassroots projects and groups that may not always have easy access to other funding sources. The grants they give help charities to address some of the most challenging social issues in our communities. By volunteering on the grants panel you could be part of a diverse group of local people using their experience and skills to allocate funding in the most effective way. The time commitment for both roles can vary, but typically we expect a commitment of around 4 hours per month, on average, for both roles.
