We know that this is an uncertain time for all of us.

The COVID-19 outbreak has left people around the globe not only facing fears around falling ill and protecting those around them, but also losing their income in the process of taking vital precautions against the virus.

It is no different in Buckinghamshire.

About the fund

Heart of Bucks have set up the ‘Bucks Coronavirus Response Appeal’ to support people and charities in Buckinghamshire who are most affected and vulnerable at this time of crisis.

Those who donate to the appeal will be supporting Buckinghamshire residents who are most affected by the pandemic and, as a result, are struggling to make essential household payments, living through a short term crisis or experiencing hardship. We will identify these households by utilising our excellent connections with key local charities, who we will work in partnership with to ensure funds get to where they are most needed.

In addition, this appeal will enable Heart of Bucks to work closely with local non-profit organisations in identifying ways to support the most disadvantaged in Buckinghamshire at this time.

If you are a Buckinghamshire-based community group, charity or organisation interested in applying for funding from this appeal, please visit our Coronavirus Response Funds page.

How can I help?

We would be incredibly grateful for any amount that you’re able to donate to support this cause.

You can donate online by heading to our Total Giving page. If you’re unable to donate online, you can send a cheque to us, however in light of the UK government lockdown we will be unable to head into the office to get this so we’d appreciate online donations where possible.

Cheques can be made payable to ‘Heart of Bucks’ to: Heart of Bucks COVID-19 Appeal, Sunley House (4th floor), Oxford Road, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP19 8FQ.

We would encourage you to please gift aid your kind donations to maximise the urgent assistance we are able to give the local community.

How will my donation be used?

Your donation will be used for charitable purposes exclusively here in Buckinghamshire to support those who most need help and we will be able to distribute over 90% of all donations directly to individuals and charities locally.

Heart of Bucks’ operation is being significantly affected by the economic impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. To ensure we can run this fund efficiently, we will be using 8% of all donations to administer funds through this emergency appeal and to ensure funding goes where it is most needed. In recognition of the scale of the crisis, this is less than the contribution we normally retain from funds. If you are able to gift aid your donation, this 8%  contribution will effectively come from the gift aid.
