If you don’t need your winter fuel payment, why not donate it to someone who does?
The Heart of Bucks Winter Warmth campaign is aimed at helping vulnerable people across Buckinghamshire who are unable to adequately heat their homes during winter.
This includes those living in fuel poverty, older people, lone parents with children under 5, or households requiring additional heating because of a household member with a disability.
If you were born on or before 5 November 1953 you could get between £100 and £300 to help you pay your heating bills. Most payments are made automatically, however, many people across the county do not need this money.
If this is you, you can donate all or part of your payment to help vulnerable people across Buckinghamshire who struggle to keep warm during winter and are at risk of harm as a result of cold weather.
If you don’t receive a winter fuel payment you can still make a donation of any size.
