Heart of Bucks take pride in offering convenient and impactful ways for companies to support grassroots organisations in the areas where they operate or where their employees live.
In 2020, we established the Community Investor Fund, to provide a simple way for businesses of all sizes to donate to local charities and good causes. Businesses can make a one-off or annual donation of any size into the fund. These contributions are then divided into immediate support funds and investment funds, ensuring a positive impact both now and in the future.
Immediate impact
Heart of Bucks has nearly 25-years of experience in awarding grants. Heart of Bucks utilises its local knowledge and expertise to attract and evaluate applications, conduct rigorous due diligence checks, and allocate grants that have the greatest impact across a wide range of beneficiaries. By supporting smaller, local charities and organisations, your business can make a difference and provide financial support to those most in need. We also provide detailed reports on the impact your donation has made and the lives it has touched.
Community grants awarded
The fund has awarded more than £84,000 in grants to a range of projects including:
- Providing equipment for a monthly movie night in a local village to combat social isolation.
- Offering activity sessions for individuals living with disabilities to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
- Empowering women from black minority ethic backgrounds through a fashion design and sewing programme to enhance their employability.
- Supporting individuals and families in crisis due to alcohol, drug and/or gambling problems.
- Upgrading a children’s play area to provide accessible and diverse play equipment to promote physical health and development.
Long-term impact
A percentage of the donated funds is transferred into the Heart of Bucks endowment fund which is invested to ensure the organisation’s long-term sustainability by generating a permanent income stream.

Our annual Community Investors event brings together all our community investors to share best practice and recognise the achievements made possible through their donations.
