About the fund
This is an annual grants programme funded by proceeds from Kop Hill Climb and supports voluntary and community organisations delivering projects that benefit local residents.
Grants available: up to £7,500
Who can apply?
- Voluntary and community groups, which are charitable in purpose.
- Activities/projects that will benefit residents living within the geographical area indicated on the map. Projects or projects with beneficiaries based in this map are eligible to apply even if the charity operates or is based outside of this map.
- Applicants who have applied before should have demonstrated the impact of previous, completed grants.
Priorities:
- Projects which are aimed at addressing social isolation or deprivation.
- Projects which support those with long-term or life-limiting diseases or conditions.
- Projects which are new or existing projects looking to expand their reach.
Eligibility
Grant applications must come from organisations which are formally constituted, not-for-profit, and operating for the benefit of Buckinghamshire residents. This includes:
- Charities
- Clubs & Societies
- Community Benefit Societies
- Community Interest Companies (CICs) limited by guarantee – our priority is to fund new and expansion projects but other applications will be considered.
- Social Enterprises
- Parish Councils (for projects outside the PC’s statutory obligations)
- Faith-based organisations (for projects which do not involve promotion of any particular faith)
- PTAs (for projects which involve and benefit the wider community)
- Organisations and/or projects operating solely outside of Buckinghamshire, including Milton Keynes
- Activities promoting a particular religious or political belief
- Overseas travel
- Individuals
- Statutory organisations (with the exception of parish councils)
- CICs limited by shares
- Organisations whose principle concern is animal welfare
- Relief of statutory responsibilities
- Schools and private education organisations
- Retrospective funding

The deadline for applications is midday on 13th October 2026.
Funding decisions should be notified in December 2026, and so the project/funding start date you select must be no earlier than 1st January 2026. Projects should normally start no later than 6 weeks after the grant is awarded and should be completed within 12 months of the start date.
