It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of our Trustee and friend, Lucy Wood, on 1 March 2026.
Lucy faced cancer with remarkable courage over the past few years, and our thoughts are very much with her husband Scott, her parents, family, her B P Collins LLP colleagues, and her friends during this incredibly difficult time.
Lucy brought warmth, wisdom, and good humour to her role as a Trustee of Heart of Bucks. She cared deeply about supporting her local community and was passionate about the work of our charity and the difference it makes. Her insight, dedication, and thoughtful guidance helped shape our work, and strengthen our governance and impact.
Beyond her professional expertise, Lucy will be remembered by our charity for her kindness, empathy, and the genuine interest she took in others. She had a natural ability to connect with people and brought encouragement and positivity to every conversation.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and commitment Lucy gave to our charity. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her, and we feel fortunate to have known such a remarkable person.
