Project: Christmas Fayre and children’s parade
Grant: £1,500
Fund: South Bucks

On the evening of 6th December 2018, the Burnham Christmas Fayre and children’s parade took place along the High Street. There were charity and commercial stalls for the public to enjoy, as well as a children’s parade which involved local junior schools and other groups, including Brownies, Guides and Scouts.

In addition to this there were street entertainers, such as jugglers and stilt walkers, as well as music from a steel band, jazz band, Morris dancers and a concert band and bell ringers, all followed by Santa in his sleigh!

This grant enabled the Lions Club of Burnham to secure the street entertainers for the event, which were a huge success. Many members of the public commented on how good the evening was and how much they enjoyed it.
