We are delighted (oh yes we are) to have been chosen as the nominated charity for this year’s pantomime at Wycombe Swan. All funds raised through the partnership will go towards our Together Against Poverty campaign to support local individuals and families experiencing poverty and disadvantage.

Together Against Poverty provides quick access to emergency financial support to help individuals and families out of difficult situations. The unique system of referrals from Community Advocates – front-line experts – helps to reach those most in need and ensure all funding is making a real difference.

Speaking about the partnership, Heart of Bucks CEO Henry Allmand says:

We’re delighted that our Together Against Poverty campaign has been chosen by Wycombe Swan and Imagine Theatre as their charity partner this year.

Christmas can be a tough time for many – especially those living in poverty. People are worrying about feeding their family, heating their home or even keeping a roof over their head, let alone buying presents or finding ways to make Christmas feel magical. That’s why we were so pleased to partner with Wycombe Swan. In addition to the money we hope to raise as a result of the partnership, they have also donated 10 family tickets to families in need in the Wycombe area. This gift will give those families a moment of joy and time together to simply enjoy the festive season worry free. Something which is priceless.

People think of Buckinghamshire as a wealthy county but there are many local individuals and families under growing financial strain. Our crisis grants provide comfort and relief to many over the Christmas period and beyond. A donation to Together Against Poverty will provide immediate relief to those in need and make a tangible difference in the lives of local people.”

Fiona Martin, Wycombe Swan Theatre Director has said

We are deeply committed to supporting our local community and are thrilled to partner with Heart of Bucks’ Together Against Poverty campaign this Christmas. This collaboration allows us to make a meaningful impact by helping those in need during the festive season. We believe in the power of community and are proud to contribute to such a vital cause.”
