Heart of Bucks are pleased to have partnered with Bahlsen UK to launch the Bahlsen Community Fund, which focuses on funding food poverty, healthy eating and educational food projects.
Annette Buck, Office Manager at Bahlsen LLP, said:
“We are pleased to be partnering with Heart of Bucks Community Foundation, whose commitment to supporting and strengthening communities throughout Buckinghamshire aligns perfectly with our mission of giving back to our local community. We are looking forward to working together, to make a positive impact on the people it supports.”
The first grant of £3,750 has been awarded to the Big Community Takeaway, an organisation looking to eliminate food poverty in Chesham, Amersham and surrounding villages, and will enable them to deliver four weeks of meals to around 100 adults and children per week.
Lisa Walker, Head of the Big Community Takeaway, said:
“Thank you to the Bahlsen Community Fund for their generous donation of £3,750. It is only through the financial support of people and organisations like this that we can continue to feed those in crisis in Chesham, Amersham and the surrounding villages. We’re so grateful for their support.”
Henry Allmand, CEO at Heart of Bucks, said:
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Bahlsen UK to launch their new charitable fund, which will provide critical funding to a range of local groups. Organisations like Bahlsen can play a vital role in improving the local community and we are immensely grateful for their support so that together we can make positive change in our county.”
