A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the end of October for our Annual Reception celebrations. We had a fantastic evening looking back over our achievements from 2021/22 and catching up with some of the people who continue to support our work across the county.
On the night, we were delighted to welcome six local not-for-profit groups to showcase their work as part of the People’s Choice Award: Buckinghamshire Culture, Chiltern Rangers, Daytop Multicultural Centre, Lady Ryder Memorial Garden, Quarrendon Community Cafe and Wycombe Multicultural Organisation. Congratulations go to Daytop Multicultural Centre for winning the £1,000 prize, kindly sponsored by ASM Auto Recycling Ltd.
We were also pleased to announce Peter Cullimore MBE as the winner of our President’s Award 2022. Peter’s work and generosity has helped over 30,000 beneficiaries through grants to charities from his fund with Heart of Bucks, as well as hundreds of other individuals through his support of our crisis funds for refugees settling in Buckinghamshire and others in real need.
