A brand-new bursary programme supporting young people in the local community will be officially announced at this year’s Kop Hill Climb festival. The aim is clear: to create new opportunities for the next generation and ensure that local talent has every chance to thrive.
The bursary, co-funded by the Kop Hill Climb charity in partnership with Heart of Bucks Community Foundation through its Young Futures Fund project, will provide financial support to students from the area. The initiative is designed to help young people realise their potential, with an expected focus on those pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) subjects at university or equivalent level.
More details on the bursary programme and how to apply will be announced soon.
“Kop Hill Climb has always been about more than just cars; it’s about community,” said Linda Cannon Clegg, Chair of Trustees of the Kop Hill Charity. “Through this bursary, we aim to support the aspirations of young people in our area and invest in the innovators of tomorrow.”
“The Young Futures Fund was created to give young people the resources they need to build bright futures,” added Henry Allmand, CEO at Heart of Bucks. “This partnership with Kop Hill Climb is an exciting next step in bringing that mission to life.”
The bursary will be hosted on the Young Futures Fund platform, with further details on eligibility, application processes, and funding levels to be announced soon.
