We are pleased to introduce summaries from our ‘vital voices’ community forums. These events give a platform to small grassroot organisations in Buckinghamshire, and help them connect with influential people on key issues to create change and make a difference.

AI in the charity sector

AI is transforming the way we work, communicate, and make decisions. However, many VCSE organisations have only just begun to explore AI’s potential. This forum brought together a diverse group of local charities and funders to discuss AI’s role in the sector:

Communities in times of crisis

It is critical to be prepared for emergencies, at both national and grassroots levels. Our fourth Vital Voices community forum brought together representatives to discuss how we can support our diverse local communities in times of crisis.

Businesses and charities

In this community forum we focused on how we can create more meaningful partnerships between the charity sector and the private sector. We look at the role of CSR, creating long-term relationships and the value of volunteering vs monetary donations.

Building relationships

In our second Vital Voices community forum we were joined by the National Lottery Community Fund to hear from small local charities about the importance of building strong and lasting relationships between small charities and grant-makers.

The cost of living crisis

Our first community forum focused on the challenging financial situation of recent years and the impact the cost of living crisis has had on small charities. The event was hosted in partnership with the Bank of England and a number of small local community groups.
