However you choose to work with us, our common aim is to make a lasting impact on local lives.

Heart of Bucks is part of UK Community Foundations (UKCF) – a network of 47 community foundations across the UK. We work with Charitable Trusts with varying levels of wealth and resources to provide a range of options to support Trustees, from assisting with grant-making to taking over legal responsibility for the Trust. We provide a bespoke service for whichever way Trustees choose to work with us.

Helping you support small charities and individuals

Our service is tailor-made and ensures that your requirements are met – from the particular groups, activities or geographical area that you would like to support, to your desired level of ongoing involvement. If you wish to support individuals, our Together Against Poverty campaign also provides one-off grants to local people and families, providing shelter, food and warmth.

Supporting your grant giving

Managing grants effectively can involve significant administrative effort. Partnering with a community foundation can help ease this burden. The Trust retains full financial independence, continues to manage its own investments, and remains a registered charity with the Charity Commission.

Managing your investments and grants

There are many reasons why you might consider changing how your Trust is managed. One option available to you is to transfer the Trust’s assets to a community foundation, known as a ‘Trust Transfer’. We work closely with the Charity Commission and your trustees during this process. After the transfer, Trustees can remain actively involved as advisors, continuing to approve grants, while Heart of Bucks assumes the legal responsibility for managing the Trust.
