Job title: Head of Development
Salary range: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum FTE
Job type: Part-time (18.5 hours p/w)
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

This new role will play a vital part in supporting Heart of Bucks ambitions for the future; to grow our influence and to increase our capacity to support the many fabulous not-for-profit groups doing such good work in our County.

The role will principally be outward-facing, and the focus will be to generate new funds and to nurture and maintain our relationships with existing fund donors. You will work with our enthusiastic and energetic CEO, as well as with our re-formed Fundraising Board.

You will lead a small development team who will also work to ensure that Heart of Bucks has a well-recognised, strong and coherent public profile and delivers the best events.

Main Duties

  • Growth of corporate, Public Sector, and private philanthropy supporter base and new funds.
  • Stewardship of existing donors.
  • Design, delivery and continuous improvement of all business development projects
  • Design & management of events, marketing, and fundraising campaigns, in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Lead the Development team.

Job title: Development Support Officer
Salary range: £18,135 – 19,135 per annum FTE
Job type: Part-time (18.5 hours p/w)
Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and personable individual to join our new development team.

The purpose of the team is to generate relationships with new donors and attract new funding as well as nurturing and maintaining relationships with our current generous supporters. The team will look after our external media channels, PR, marketing and communications, as well as delivering the occasional, slickly organised, event.

Your role will be varied and exciting, unlikely to involve the same thing from one day to the next. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to get involved in a wide range of fundraising and business development work, and lots of opportunity for learning.

Main Duties

  • Work with the Head of Development and the Marketing & Communications Manager to help achieve our development and marketing goals and objectives
  • Use your excellent customer service skills to maintain positive and engaged client relationships
  • Support the Marketing & Communications manager to ensure that HoB brand and image is promoted consistently
  • Assist with the professional and efficient delivery of HoB events
