Dinton Cricket Club – cricket in the community
Situated in Buckinghamshire between Aylesbury and Thame, Dinton Cricket Club is a thriving, friendly village Cricket club in the picturesque village of Dinton. This village cricket club applied for a Heart of Bucks grant from the Rectory Homes Fund.
Dinton Cricket Club was successful in receiving a grant of £1,000, and, as a result, was able to purchase new mobile cricket covers to replace the worn canvas sheets. The overall cost of this project was £4,500.
Grants making a difference
With a limited number of ground staff, the light easy-to-manoeuvre units can be utilised in a much more efficient manner. Dinton Cricket Club can now fully dispose of the worn and out-dated canvas sheets they were previously using. The players at Dinton Cricket Club are extremely appreciative of the investment made by Rectory Homes, as it will enable many more matches to be completed each season.
Rectory Homes Fund has awarded many voluntary and community groups in Buckinghamshire grants to help them take their project to the next level. We have many success stories, many of which you can read about here.
