Bucks and MK Disability Summit – 28 Feb 2017

Disability Summit logoLeap are organising the Bucks and MK Disability Summit on Tuesday 28th February 2017 and would be delighted if you could join them.

Help create a disability legacy as equal to the recognition achieved through the Paralympics established here in Buckinghamshire.


The summit aims to increase disability sport participation across the county and to get a more integrated approach between all partners involved.  Working together with the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS), the British Paralympic Association (BPA), WheelPower and event sponsor Slater & Gordon to help address the following challenges.

– Physical activity referral
– The end users ‘journey’
– Marketing & communications – making the most of resources already available
– Funding opportunities
– Inclusion in school sport and physical activity

The summit includes key note speeches from Paralympians Naomi Riches MBE and Alistair Patrick-Heselton, as well as discussions led by healthcare professionals and local partners involved in disability sport.
